It’s not easy to trust your tresses with a new stylist. Will they be scissor happy? Is the salon clean? Will they be personable? How much experience do they have cutting my hair type? Do they know what they’re doing? At Hair by Casey D, I understand your concerns. I possess over 14 years experience cutting, styling and strengthening hair. I love people and love what I do. Take a look at my 5-star Yelp reviews and you will see that clients comment just as much about my skills as they do the salon. You are welcome to come in for a hair consultation and determine if I am the right fit for you.
When you look good, you feel good. There’s nothing like a horrible haircut to bring you to tears. Before I begin cutting, you will have a consultation with me. I will gain an understanding of what you’re looking for, review any photos you might have and analyze the condition of your hair. Once the 2 of us have reached common ground, the cutting process will begin. As a professional stylist, I am versed in beach waves, chandelier layers, strong bobs and mermaid shags. Book an appointment for feathered ends, a long bob, blunt bangs or shattered bob. I am your local expert in boho hair, personalized lobs, softened bobs, undercuts and faux hawks.
You don’t have to drive to LA to get a great cut. Hair by Casey D specializes in men’s haircuts too. Feel comfortable and be pampered while I help take the edge off. Whether your personal style is preppy, surfer type, conservative, skater or rocker, I will make sure you get the look you desire. I was trained by a team of veteran stylists experienced in fades, tapers, undercuts and pompadours. Feel confident knowing that you will emerge from the chair with a quaff, comb over, slick back, buzz or crew cut looking and feeling amazing. Turn heads with a fringe part, side part, spiked look, top knot or man bun.
Cuts for Short Hair
Although it takes more time, many hair stylists are legends with medium to long hair, but struggle with short hair. Short hair requires a very specific skill set. Whether working with thick, coarse hair or fine, wispy hair, Hair by Casey D knows what they’re doing and I have the receipts! I recognize that every woman that sits in the chair is unique with desires, goals and experiences that are intrinsic to her. My goal is to bring out her personality through the hair. I welcome men and women in need of a hair stylist with expertise in cutting short hair.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of shampoo and conditioner should i be using?
Whether you’ve got split ends, colored hair, damaged hair, frizzy hair, curly hair, straight hair or anything in between, the shampoo and conditioner you use makes a big difference, so be sure you’re doing your hair justice. I have fallen in love with the Kevin Murphy product line. It has done wonders for my hair, and I know it will do wonders for yours.
How often shoud i be washing my hair?
Though I don’t recommend washing your hair every day, and we all know that every hair type is different. If, for example, your roots get oily quickly, you may be better off with using shampoo every day. Ask me about your own texture and I will give the straight scoop.
What’s the best way to style my hair with my natural texture?
Sometimes, playing up to our natural waves, or your stick straight hair can be a bit challenging (and frustrating), but there are certain techniques, tools, and products that help for each hair type (Ex. Diffuser, Flat Iron). Spend time during your haircut or coloring session to ask about styling your hair in a healthy way. I love to talk shop, and always want you to look and feel your best!
Are there any treatments that will bring my hair back to life?
Whether you need a straightening treatment (like my Brazilian Blowout), a gloss, or something to help replenish some damaged hair, you can always ask me which kind of treatment will be best for your gorgeous locks! Then come splurge on some pampering the next time you come in for a visit.
What’s the best hairstyle for my face shape?
One of the things I tell my clients is to create as many “Hair Inspiration” boards as you want on Pinterest. Just remember, that sometimes, the cut you’re aiming for is just not right for your face shape. As much as I may want my hair to look like JLo or Shakira....their styles just don't match my shape. Talk to me about your texture, shape and how much maintenance you’re willing (or wanting) to put in on a daily basis so we can get a good idea of which haircut (or haircuts) will work best for you.
How can I maintain color at home?
Some people are learning this the hard way during this pandemic, but flip flopping between salon and box hair color isn’t ideal. If you need to do a tiny root touch up at home between salon visits, call and ask me first. I promise I won't pitch or upsell you on anything, but I can recommend which products will work best for you, so that you don’t mix any chemicals that shouldn’t go together. That’s one surefire way to need a faster salon appointment....don't ask me how I know that though. ;)
Which hair color will work best for me?
This answer can always vary, and depending on seasons where hair typically gets lighter in the summer months and darker in the winter, what works for you today, may not work best later. Let's talk about which color, besides your natural one, will work best on you. I always want you feeling and looking your best when you leave my chair, and I know that the more clear communication we have, the better my service will be. For example, if you want to go from blonde to red hair, you may want to go for strawberry blonde instead of auburn so that the transition looks natural and becoming on you.
